Hughes Hardwoods, originally named Hughes Plywood, was founded in 1968 by Richard Hughes in Chico, California.

A family owned and operated business for over 50 years, Hughes Hardwoods has grown from selling solely plywood to a wide variety of lumber products.

Bill Nunes, son-in-law to Richard Hughes, opened the second location in Rancho Cordova in 1984. Where he continues to serve the greater Sacramento area with their laughter and hardwood needs.
